I have also seen a lot of people take out the passenger seat and back seat on the passenger side and build the platform front to back. Removing the back seat is definitely the best option for comfort and would open up tons of room but when I’m home I use this truck as a personal vehicle so I like being able to change it from a bed to a back seat for the kids in a couple of minutes. I figure that will give me a couple inches on either side and make a huge difference but I like to have the rear vents blow air when the truck is running and I’d lose those so I guess everything is a compromise. I keep looking at building a platform to raise my mattress so it’s even with the door arm rests.
The memory foam is super comfortable but stretching completely out is an issue. Click to expand.I’m 5’9” also and don’t have many problems.
